WHSG Fashion Show: Wednesday

Westcliff High School for Girl's Fashion Show

As a part of our school charity week, a fashion show is held over two nights, a week before the official charity week begins. This is where the whole school collaborates to put on a brilliant fashion show and raise money for charity. And of course, when charity is involved we always love to jump on board. There is a different category for each year group, and for those who are fortunate to have the skill of co ordination, there are additional dances for them! Fortunately for me, and the rest of the audience I was only in one (not including the hair show which I still managaged to mess up!!...see photo below haha)

All we had to do was step step pose, step step and pose at the end....what do I do? Just walk off!

We had a real mare with our number! A store in Leigh, Boutique Unique were meant to lend us 8 vintage outfits, but due to recent clothes being unreturned, the owner was understandably reluctant to lend out 8 whole outfits. GAAAH. We managed to push for 5 gorgeous dresses, the 5th was a last chance plea as he was checking out the original 4 he was lending us.

Tip: If you don't ask you don't get.

Next, Laura, Ebony and I (The Stylists of WHSG's Fashion Show) had to scramble for an extra 3 outfits. Thankfully our amazing Textiles teacher lent us her whole wardrobe. SORTED...Naaaaat,

The dresses were frumpy and unflattering, not to mention the combination between Boutique Unique and The Wardrobe of Matsi was a clash too far.

So, being the mavericks we are, we had a brilliant idea of styling our vintage number with our own clothes...never done before. We went for the Fresh Prince of Bel Air crossed with Saved By The Bell and I think we pulled it off quite well.

All shirts from Camden and Brick Lane.

Mom Jeans are both vintage.

My disco pants are MissGuided.

Right to Left: Trainers

New Balance, Adidas, Nike.

Go for the Fresh Prince square hair by back-combing the top of your hair and slicking the sides back. Stay feminine with the rest of your hair kept down.

Or, why not go to the nostalgic crimp AND if you're really into it, then wear your hair in bunches!

I'm so happy that my sister and her boyfriend travelled all the way from Kingston to support me!

She's THE best.

Interval pics haha.

:)

HAHA. So Cringey and weird seeing this. I am NOT a dancer.

Had to end the night appropriately.
