Bootylicious Body's

Girl's with a body like Beyonce can at times be overlooked by the fashion industry. This is a post for girls who may not be naturally thin which is aokay!! Summer is upon us, which means no more covering up in coats. But, have no fear your summer gear is here. Also, I know I'm not plus size, but I do work in a plus size shop so I've learnt a lot about flattering bigger girls.

I've picked my favourite items all from Evans that I ADORE.

The zesty lemon hue will keep the buzz on you, with this fashion forward, brave fluorescence. Neon is key for this summer, it can be difficult to stray away from tacky 80's dancer but if you wear it with edgy pieces it can work. NO SWEATS PLEASE.

How wonderfully whimsical is this blouse! The picturesque flower design will conceal in all the best places. If you're arm conscious, the block of grey contrasting with the the vivid blue should keep the attention to the bust, a more flattering area.

For summer, a crisp white top is an essential. This top is effortlessly chic and will hang perfectly on all shapes; pear, apple, hourglass and top heavy. Just make sure you accessorise to give the wow factor, I'd suggest natural oak wood jewellery for the day and silver and gold layers for night. The pockets will flatter the bust, leaving you confident and eye catching.

A summer dress that I love is this leopard print maxi. There is an elastic waist to ease at the belly but the gathered elastic cleverly gives the body shape.

For daytime I'd wear distressed denim shorts, Bart Simpson style to harshen the prettiness.

At night it would look great layered over a chiffon maxi skirt. Tuck it, half tuck or cinch in with a belt to rid excess fabric.

Look stylish in this splash of scarlet which is bound to catch the world's attention.

There is a light underlay of nude which alludes the eye into thinking you iz neked, giving a really sexy and young look. You can imagine the red layer to wing out in a gust of wind whilst you strut along the beach which will instantly make you feel empowered and confident.

And finally my favourite is this on-trend, kimono inspired top. It really embodies spring I think. The creamy shade and the shadow roses scream amazing. Keep it fun with embellished leggings if you're daring, or wear it over high waisted shorts so it looks like a dress. You shouldn't wear it with on the hip type shorts because it'll ruin the elegance.

Neon and Nostalgia

Finally I've been able to rock my neon leggings!!! Yeehar.

They're so bright I look like #PatrickStar but I lovee it.

All the bloggers have been sporting this look but I thought, instead of going all sporty and edgy with it, I'd pair them with a matching bright, feminine,  daisy/sunflower print shirt. I picked this up thrifting with Ebony not knowing that H n M and American Apparel are selling daisy prints as well, lucky ey!

Ebony and I always seem to accidentally match; we're just like totes in sync.

Daisy Shirt: Leigh Charity Shop - £4.50
Neon Leggings: H n M - £3 in sale because no one wanted them :(
Belt: H n M - £12

Ebony's taking era inspired fashion to a new level. She's throwing back these sparkly summer sandals from the nineties...come on, we all had these booties when we were 5.

EBONY:
Shirt: Topshop - £27
Mom jeans: Levi's - vintage price lol
Sparkly JuJu Jellies: Topshop - £25
Circle Sunglasses: Topshop - £16
Blazer: vintage

Tip: Keep vintage florals youthful by doing a simple shirt twist at the ends. It also gives a fun flash of midriff!

Ebony is too busy and cool to take photos of herself so that's why they're scarce.  Mysterious girl! Peter Andre would love her.

Bitchin' Dog Tooth

I'm wearing the velvet top with a belt this time, cinching the waist for a sneaky peplum effect! I wore it with a black, cropped, leather jacket to accentuate the frilly waist.

The belt is cream to go with the summer weather - plus I wear the black one too much.

Teaming it with dark trousers kept it subtle but the dogtooth check still made it fashion forward!

Dogtooth Check Trousers: New Look - £17.99
Belt: Primark - £2
Boots: Topshop - £40

Yawwwn

A boring outfit for a boring day!!
Kept if very casual for the library. Jeans are definitely a no no if you're going to be sitting down for ages because you wanna be able to concentrate and be comfortable when you're working. Plus no one sees your bottom half so wearing a printed top excuses the plain attire!
Top: Topshop
Leggings: H n M

I've got a crush :$

Har Har...fooled you! late April fools day. The only crush I've got is crushed velvet. Well I tried to make this velvet crushed by bunching the top up and tying a hair band round it. It worked a little bit!

I thrifted this gorgeous, grungy, blood red top from Marks and Spencers, teaming it with a new studded jacket and clashed the the gold jewelz so it was less nannish.

I was going to wear them with those tie dye leggings but it looked less busy with the black! and the focus stayed on the top.

TIP: When wearing red velvet avoid over kill.

The bright texture is enough. Team it with understated bottoms and minimal bling.

(only for the day..if your rocking it at night then add more textures rather than colour.

Xoxo

Wasted youth!!!!

So I was going to wait a while to blog about mine and Ebony's t-shirt business because I wanted to take time and I really haven't had enough to tell you about Aurum without half assing it...so we'll do a proper post soon!

Buttttt, I wore it to the library today, and it was sunny enough to style it how I wanted so...here I'm sporting 1 of 3 t-shirts that we've designed in order to raise some money for lung cancer research! This one is Ebony's immaculate design :)

£11.99 for one

£20.00 for two

For every two shirts 5% profit goes to LCR

@AURUMCREATIVE is our Twitter and Instagram.

Also I distressed this jacket myself, I'll do a post later to show you how !! :)

Feeling blue?

My fashion mantra is
"It's not what you wear, it's how you wear it".

There's nothing wrong with wearing something twice as long as you wear it differently :)

I belted the jumper this time to add shape to the loose structure, its a short length so having the belt there stops it rising.

Jumper: Rokit £.. Xmas Gift
Leggings: Primark - £3

Wearing vintage sweats can be hard to style. You should combine it with a more youthful, contrasting piece to avoid looking like Old Mother Hubbard! Here, the shimmery leggings and sandy texture go well with the soft hand of the jumper.
